Things Going On This Weekend
Two events this weekend. Count ’em! Two! Vintage loveliness at Antiquity Vintage at the Anstice Club at Madeley, Telford this Saturday, 4th August, 10am-4pm and and vintage and crafty thrills to be had at Woore Victory Hall on Sunday, 10am-4pm. This month we have a garden party theme, for which I may have to find a hat. I’m looking forward to both, but worrying what I might miss Olympic-wise on the telly. I have to accept that I can’t just stay home for the duration of the Games, and must go out to try and earn a crust. So see you there! (If you have one of those portable tellies, please bring it along.)
Vintage Weekender, Shrewsbury Lion Hotel, 21-22 July!
Two days instead of one! That HAS to be a good thing! This weekend, Bus Stop Vintage is at The Lion Hotel, Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July, 11am-5pm. I’ll be there, with brand new goodies, the vintage zoo, tote bags, lavender lovelies, cushions (with some made from my new fabric treasures, including a very exciting piece of 60’s vintage Heals Spring Song in the blue and purple colourway…gorgeous. I’ll post a picture later) and whatever else I come up with in the next few days! See you there, it’ll be fun!
Made in Shropshire, Saturday 14th July…Come Rain or Shine!
Regardless of what the weather might be doing, I can assure you that the market will go on! This Saturday, the 14th July, Made in Shropshire is holding its monthly arts and crafts market (with a little bit of gourmet food thrown in for good measure) in the Square in Shrewsbury town centre. Do come along…I have some pretty new bags and purses, more spiffing animals from my vintage zoo, lots of lovely lavender filled goodies and plenty of squashy cushions, perfect to brighten up your home this summer. See you there! 9am-5pm (though I haven’t usually finished setting up before 9.30 or 10….as I’m very busy drinking my morning latte(s).
Woore Victory Hall…it’s that time again!
Don’t forget to come to Woore Victory Hall tomorrow, Sunday the 1st July! It’s vintage and crafty time again! 10am -4pm. I wrote last month that there was going to be a dog show. I got that wrong and in fact it’s THIS month. So all the training that Foxy and I did was in vain. But, nevertheless, the discipline was good for us both. In fact Foxy found a new home that day and went off to Liverpool with his new owner, Claire from the Landbaby shop at the Bluecoats. Since when he has been joined by six of his siblings….catch them there along with some lovely lavender puppies! Claire has a beautiful website – it’s well worth a visit – http://www.landbaby.co.uk
Anyway, hope to see you tomorrow! I have some lovely new things…with some goodies in a sweet new ponies fabric, a Wish You Were Here cushion, new owls, more vintage zoo animals….and of course a new fox!
Bus Stop Vintage this Saturday 16th June! And Anstice the Next Day!

And then the fun vintage fair at the Anstice Memorial Club, Madeley, Telford on Sunday, again 10am-4pm. Hope to see you at one or the other…or both!
